Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Take cars to the stall area after receiving work orders from the dispatcher.
  • Efficiently and accurately perform all work on the repair order in accordance with all dealership and manufacturer standards.
  • Provide swift and accurate diagnosis of the problem and repair the issue as requested by the customer.
  • Maintain professional communication with the Parts Department for the retrieval of needed parts.
  • Tag and set aside parts as requested or when the job is under warranty.
  • When the timescale of the job shifts, let the service advisor know immediately, like when the job needs more time, or when less service is necessary, or more service is needed.
  • Maintain adequate documentation of your work.
  • Engage in road tests to ensure the repair has addressed the customer complaint.
  • Perform and participate in quality checks of work performed.
  • Attend all training classes.
  • Stay up-to-date with all the latest factory technical bulletins.
  • Ensure that the customers’ vehicles are kept clean throughout the service or repair.
  • Effectively administer housekeeping and safety protocols and procedures.
  • Know and follow all regulations regarding service and repair, be they federal, state, local, or other guidelines.
